Haney and Gamboa ready to step into the ring

World Boxing Council lightweight champion Devin Haney, will defend his title against the former world champion, Yuriorkis Gamboa from Cuba, this Saturday, November 7, at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, in Hollywood, Florida.

Devin Haney (24-0, 15 KOs) will return to action for the first time since November 2019, after injuring his right shoulder while defeating Alfredo Santiago in his first belt defense. Devin had a successful surgery on the injury and is now ready to resume his quest to dominate the 135 pounds category.

Yuriorkis Gamboa (30-3, 18 KOs), a former world champion and Olympic champion, is aiming to become a three-time world champion, on his third attempt, after unsuccessfully challenging Terence Crawford and Gervonta Davis.

The card is promoted by Matchroom Boxing and will be broadcasted on DAZN and ESPN in Latin America.

This Friday the official weigh-in of the evening took place without any problem. Haney and Gamboa recorded 135 pounds.
