Heno outshines the Philippine Champion, Jessie Espinas

San Pedro City, Laguna – Edward ‘El Heneral’ Heno retains his crown – now with an improved record of 13 wins 5 draws including 5 stoppage after dominating his opponent Jessie ‘Little giant’ Espinas, the current Philippine light flyweight champion and with a record of 19 wins and 3 defeats

All three international judges favored the champion. Silvestre Abainza 118-110, Gil Co 117 -111 and Virgilio Garcia 116-112 to win via unanimous decision.

Edward started the fight  by throwing  stiff right jab followed by a series combination making Jessie’s offensive attack momentarily disrupted as the fight progress, the Philippine champion found himself in guessing game trying to figure out the enigma.

It has been the case all throughout the fight and the only time Espinas would win a round is when Heno starts to taunt him by putting down his hands making the Philippine champion to take advantage of the situation, but Heno was too much too handle for Espinas

Heno’s complete domination and a brilliance display of boxing skills made him retains his OPBF light flyweight championship title.

Enrique Magsalin vs March Rey Taday

Magsalin and Taday despite of the heavy monsoon rain, made the San Pedro gym warm and exciting, , both fighters going at each other for 6 brutal rounds.Unfortunately two accidental head-butts occurred on the first round and another in the 4th round. Taday who gotten the worse of the collision showed his heart as warrior despite of excruciating pain, Magsalin on the other hand took advantage of the situationand while on the rest period of the 6th round referee Virgilio Garcia stopped the fight upon the advised of the fight doctor.

All three judges scoring the bout 58-56 and the winner via technical decision is the shape up boxer Enrique Magsalin.

Kelvin Tenorio started the bout with an impressive combination on head and the body but was almost out of gas in the succeeding rounds on the other hand Robert Mandano, was looking for one punch to end the match but unfortunately that one shot he was waiting never came.  Kelvin won the bout via majority decision, Gil Co 59-55 (Tenorio), Ferddie Estrella 57-57 and Danilo Lopez 58-56 (Tenorio).

On the 3rd round Dadoy Cabintoy felt the power Arnel Baconaje. He almost fell down but eventually survive the onslaught but on the 5th round Ferddie Estrella finally halted the bout

Another fast pace action for Alapormina, flooringRobert Mandano on the 1st round with head shot and finishing the job on the 2nd round with two more knockdowns. Mandano was not able to beat the count. Alapormina winning the bout via TKO

The yet to be tested Kristian Hernandez demolish Diover Mangaya-ay in just two rounds.

Manny Mamaquiao KO Morito Placios within 2 rounds.
