Innovation Convention

Coming up, we celebrate our Annual WBC 58-Virtual Convention, facing a challenge, because just a few months ago, life changed for the whole world, and unfortunately it is not possible to meet physically.

However, the great WBC family has shown that together we are STRONGER and that nothing is IMPOSSIBLE, so today we are together working hard to make this event that will take place from August 12 to 15 and we are determined that it`ll be simply unforgettable.

The preparations have already begun, and we know that it will be a different Convention, but our mission and commitment is to make this virtual convention UNIQUE, and for this, we are taking care of every detail because working as a team, we are united and we are together.

Today, our imagination knows no bounds, and knowing the technological scope, we are innovating in such a way that WE WILL TAKE THE WBC CONVENTION TO YOU. Everyone will gather to celebrate life, the power of union, and of course to celebrate boxing, demonstrating to you to the world that: BOXING IS STANDING!

All this work has led us to travel back in time and remember the best moments we have experienced in at least these last 10 years when the entire boxing family comes together in the most important annual event for the WBC.

Today we want to share with you some of the most endearing moments we have had in these events that bring together our great family such as the Guinness record of champions gathered in Las Vegas, Don José Sulaimán named President for Life, Muhammad Ali named King of Boxing, The day when Mike Tyson received the WBC belt from Evander Holyfield, the first women’s boxing Convention. More recently, when Julio César Chávez received a tribute for his magnificent career and was named “Maya Grand Chief” as well as the recognition of Bob Arum and Don King and of course the emotional tribute to Adonis Stevenson, who has achieved a great recovery from an accident inside the ring.

In the coming days, we will be remembering more and more these and other moments that, have left an indelible Green and Gold mark on our hearts.
