Ivan Baranchyk-Anthony Yigit joins Prograis-Flanagan card

By Badlefthook.com

The were first booked to fight in March

The World Boxing Super Series announced last week that Regis Prograis would headline an October 27th show in New Orleans against Terry Flanagan. Yesterday, The Ring’s Mike Coppinger reported that it will be accompanied by the IBF super lightweight title fight between Ivan Baranchyk and Anthony Yigit.

Baranchyk (18-0, 11 KO) and Yigit (21-0-1, 7 KO) were originally supposed to fight in March in what was, at the time, a final eliminator to challenge the winner of Mikey Garcia vs. Sergey Lipinets. Yigit wound up falling ill on fight week, leaving Baranchyk to maul Petr Petrov, and Garcia wound up vacating the title after beating Lipinets.

Baranchyk is always fun to watch and Yigit, a former Olympian, is a solid opponent. This looks like a good night of fights; unfortunately, Daniel Jacobs is fighting is fighting Sergiy Derevyanchenko on the same evening, so depending on how DAZN handles letting you watch things after the fact, you might need to bust out the DVR.
