JAPANESE INVASION IN THAILAND


THREE Japanese boxers successfully beat their separate Thai opponents in the “Fist of Glory” boxing presentation held last Saturday Sept. 30 at the RAM 100 Thai Boxing Gym in Ramkamhaeng, Bangkok.
Yuya Nakamura scored a first round knockout win against Thai Sornram Sopakul in their 6-rounder while Ryutoku Motoyama made his successful pro debut by stopping Phairin Sukmuang in the first round of another six-rounder.
Sukmuang suffered his third loss against one win.Imamori Norihito also made his presence felt in his pro debut by scoring a 2nd round technical knockout win against Sittipon Jantian, who was also making his pro debut.
“These Japanese fighters came prepared to fight,” said international boxing promoter Brico Santig of Highland Boxing Gym.
Meanwhile, Youngdoo Choi of South Korea also won his pro debut against Sukree Channarong viia a 2nd round TKO win.
Choi stopped his Thai rival in 1:34.
In the other bouts, Sumanthar Baenkham won by a unanimous decision over Jantima Tansimi while Taimin Tian knocked out Theerapat Angkanit in 1:26 of the first round.
The “Fist of Glory” boxing event was promoted by Chanram Promotion in coordination with the Highland Boxing Promotion.
