Jarrell Miller still chasing Anthony Joshua fight

“Big Baby” thinks he’s on his way to the big fight.

Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller made short work of faded veteran Tomasz Adamek on Saturday night in Chicago, and the 30-year-old super heavyweight is looking to parlay that into a shot at Anthony Joshua sooner than later.

From Sky:

“I’ve been earning a shot against Anthony Joshua, but when it comes to boxing, there’s all these politics, they try to manuver. Eddie Hearn is keeping him away from me right now, but what can I say about Eddie. He’s made promises and he’s kept his word, so I think the AJ fight is going to come through sooner or later.”

Miller (22-0-1, 19 KO) knocked out the smaller, older Adamek (53-6, 31 KO) in two rounds, with the fight amounting to the mismatch pretty much everyone assumed it would be.

There’s a chance that Miller will fight for the now-vacant WBA “world” title next, which would be a bout against 45-year-old Fres Oquendo, who hasn’t fought since 2014 but had a shot at Manuel Charr lined up before Charr failed a drug test and the fight was canceled. Miller-Oquendo has been discussed for December.
