This Saturday in a card held at the RCC Boxing Academy in Ekaterinburg, Russia, Mexican Jessica “Magnifica” González (8-5-2, 1 KO) won the interim bantamweight title of the World Boxing Council, by decision over the favourite and previously undefeated Tatyana Zrazhevskaya (11-1, 3 knockouts).
González, 33, was waiting for the opportunity to regain the winning way in her career, with a superb and assured performance against a dangerous rival.
Scores were 96-94 and 98-93 for the aggressive Gonzalez, while a third Judge scored 96-94 for Zrazhevskaya.
