Russia’s Zaur Abdullaev conquered the vacant World Boxing Council Silver lightweight title, defeating former Montenegrin world champion Dejan Zlaticanin by unanimous decision, at the RCC Boxing Academy in Ekaterinburg, Russia.

Abdullaev controlled the fight from very early, mastering the distance with Zlaticanin and headed to a clear victory of 118-110, 119-109 and 117-111, on the three judges’ scorecards.
With this result, Zaur Abdullaev raised his record to 14-1, 8 knockouts, while Zlaticanin is now 24-3, 16 knockouts.

In another bout, 2016 Olympic heavyweight gold medallist Evgeny Tishchenko (9-1, 6 KOs) defeated Dmitry Kudryashov (24-5, 23 KOs) on points in 10 rounds to win the vacant cruiserweight WBC International title.
