Laurel to fight Pavlov on Dec. 16 in Kazakhstan

DAVAO CITY – Southpaw super featherweight Alie “Demolition Man” Laurel of Gen. Santos City will fight Yevgeniy Pavlov of Kazakhstan on Dec. 16 at the Nur-Sultan (Astana) in Kazakhstan.

The 28-year old Laurel left yesterday for Kazakhstan with trainer Erixon Asilo.

“Ready na akong lumaban”,(I am ready to fight)said Laurel (18W-4L-1D, 11KOs).

Laurel, however will be fighting for six rounds only.

He made eight sparring sessions before leaving Manila.

Laurel recently TKO’d Jun Eraham of Marawi City in the 1st round last Feb. 15, 2020 at Manila Arena in Manila.

Pavlov, on the other hand, started his career only this year.

He won already two fights all by knockout.

The 21-year old Pavlov first knockout Patrik Renato Horvath in the 2nd round last July 26 at DiaMond, Minsk in Belarus.

He then TKO’d Goodluck Mrema also in the 2nd round in Atyrau, Kazakhstan.

Pitted in the main event is the super middleweight Aidos Yerbossynuly (14W-0L) of Kazakhstan against Issah Samir (19W-0L) of Ghana for World Boxing Council Asian Boxing Council Super Middle Title, World Boxing Association International Super Middle Title and World Boxing Organisation Global Super Middle Title.

It is promoted by Kalikhan Akdrashov of Suleimen Promotions while the matchmaker is Hosam Aboelkas
