As the December 22th Greenwich pay-per-view headlined by Dillian Whyte vs. Dereck Chisora II takes shape, its rival show in Manchester is adding some muscle of its own. In addition to the previously announced British title fight between Mark Heffron and Liam Williams and the more recently revealed heavyweight tilt between Nathan Gorman and Alex Leapai, the Josh Warrington vs. Carl Frampton-led show will feature a middleweight bout between veterans Martin Murray and Hassan N’Dam.

Murray (37-4-1, 17 KO), the eternal bridesmaid of British boxing, saw his continued run at a super middleweight belt come to an end at the hands of George Groves in 2016. Despite struggling to make the super middleweight limit in that bout, he’s since returned to 160, where he recently defeated Roberto Garcia for the WBC “Silver” title.

N’Dam (36-3, 21 KO) leveled Alfonso Blanco for the interim WBA belt in 2016, then “won” the full title six months later with a bogus decision over Ryota Murata. The two ran it back five months later, and Murata battered him into submission after seven rounds. This will be his first fight in 14 months.
