MISHIRO TO DEFEND CROWN AGAINST TAKENAKA ON JULY 27 AT KORAKUEN HALL

UNDEFEATED Hironori Mishiro of Japan will defend his crown against compatriot former OPBF champion Ryo Takenaka on July 27 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.The 24-year old Mishiro (7W-0L-1D, 2KO) will make his 3rd title-defense of the crown he won from Carlo Magali of the Philippines by a split decision last June 20, 2018 in Tokyo.Mishiro retained the title after settling a draw with Masaru Sueyoshi last Oct. 6. He then defended successfully it against Takuya Watanabe by a unanimous decision last March 27, 2019.Takenaka (18W-5L-1D, 11KO) is a former OPBF featherweight champion at least five times. He lost the OPBF title to Sa Myung Noh of South Korea by a knockout in the 10th round last July 8, 2017.The 34-year old Takenaka recently lost by a split decision to Heorhii Lashko of Ukraine last March 28 in Beijing, China.He won by retirement over Palawan’s Lorence Rosas in the 5th round last Dec. 8.
