AUSTRALIAN champion Jayde “The Peninsula Hurt Locker” Mitchell will defend both of his two titles – OPBF and interim WBA Oceania super middleweight – against Ainiewaer Yilixiati on August 4 at The Melbourne Pavilion in Flemington, Victoria, Australia.
Mitchell enjoys a record of 14 win with eight knockouts against only one defeat while Yilixiati is still undefeated with 10 straight wins and eight knockouts.
The fight is promoted by Brian Amatruda of Big Time Boxing under the Professional Boxing and Combat Sports Board of Victoria. Alfredo Casana is the matchmaker.
Mitchell previously knocked out Istvan Zeller in the 5th round in his last title defense of the interim WBA Oceania super middleweight title last June 3 at the Function Centre in Melbourne Park.
The 31-year old Mitchell also last defended his OPBF title via 10th round technical decision win against Japanese challenger Shintaro Matsumoto last October 17 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
Yilixiati, on the other hand, knocked out Chaloemporn Sawatsuk of Thailand in the second round in his last fight held Feb. 25 at the Dali Stadium in Dali, China.
The 24-year old Chinese challenger has pummeled to submission eight of his 10 opponents.
