Super middleweight fighter Avni “Mr Robot” Yildirim (17-1) shook of his loss to Chris Eubank jr. in the World Boxing Super Series tournament with an on the button KO return win.
The powerful 26-year-old from Turkey, returned to the ring with a first round knockout win over Hungarian Attila Korda (13-7) in Munich, Germany. Yildirim knocked down his opponent several times, and the Referee then stepped in.
“It felt good to be back in the ring. The loss I had made me all the stronger,” Yildirim commented.
Promoter Ahmet Oner announced that Yildirim’s next fight will be on March 3rd in Germany, assessing: “The victory over Korda was good for Avni. And in his next fight, Avni will have to show even more.
“Avni will next fight American Derek Edwards, who has been in quality fights with rivals like Badou Jack, who he defeated, as well as Andre Dirrell and Gilberto Ramírez, to whom he lost in a close combat,” commented Oner.
