Sensational Unbeaten Unified WBC/WBO Supe Bantamweight World Champion “Monster” Naoya Inoue (25-0, 22 KO’s) of the Ohashi Gym, together with coach Higashi Yaegashi were guests at a talk show in Tokyo, not surprisingly, breaking records in ratings.

Naoya (井上尚弥) looked back on his fight against Stephen Fulton, whom he knocked out and dethroned to claim the Super Bantamweight Championship last July.

Interestingly, the most exciting boxer in the Planet also talked to fans in attendance about his future plans.

The fans who attended the show and see and ask questions to “Monster,” were the lucky ones selected from a raffle among viewers from the TV station.

When the 30-year-old “Monster” was asked about what he would like to do if he is successful in his next fight likely against Filipino Marlon Tapales, the thrilling Inoue answered:

“I think it would like to stay about 2 years in Super Bantamweights fighting the very best challengers at 55 kilos.

“If I am successful, then after those 2 years I would like to move up in weight again to featherweights, yes.

“About this year 2023, I reall want to have one more fight this year.

“Then I would like to have three next year.

“So, then after two years, I’d like to climb up to featherweight (126 pounds). Sure not easy. But I hope I can do it,” he said.

Naoya was asked by fans to elaborated more, so he added:

“`My thinking is that I’ll build up my body to fit into featherweight when i arrive to my 32 years of age.

“And after more years pass by, I will keep on fighting and fighting, near the end of my career and I hope I could be able to become a on Super Featherweight boxer (130 pounds).

“I would like to have my last fight when I am around 35 years old.

“I’m not thinking about unifying all divisions at Super Feather, but I just hope that I could have the chance to reach that weight-class.”

In the past Naoya has always insisted to fans in that he would like to retire at 35.

But when asked if he would continue boxing after age 35 if fans ask him to do so, the awesome Naoya Inoue thought it over and said:

“Mmmmm… well, if so, I might consider extending my career after reaching my retirement age of 35,” at which moment fans in attendance at the talk show erupted in applause.

Naoya Inoue is expected to have a four-belt UNDISPUTED fight later this year against WBA/IBF super bantamweight world champion Marlon Tapales of Lanao del Norte, Philippines.

If successful against Tapales by the end of this year, Inoue would like to defend against popular 34-year-old Filipino “Quadro Alas” John Riel Casimero (33-4, 22 KO’s), of Ormoc, Leyte, next.

After knocking out tough opponents like Butler, Fulton, Moloney and Donaire, could Naoya Inoue also defeat the Tapales, 31, then go on to defend against the Ormocano Casimero?

Because Inoue vs Casimero is a clash that so many fans would like to watch.

But for that, Inoue needs to best Tapales. Will he be able to do that?

Or will Tapales spoil Naoya’s wonderful plans? #inouetapales#FightNewsAsia#undisputed#superbantamweight#naoyainoue#Japanboxing
