Jelena Mrdjenovich left no doubt In her much anticipated rematch against France’s Stephanie Ducastel on Saturday night at the Shaw Conference Centre, Mrdjenovich with a decisive and dominant 10-round unanimous decision victory (98-92, 99-91, 99-91)  to retain her WBC female featherweight title.

Mrdjenovich vowed to be better after her draw with Ducastel last July, and she made good on her promise, in her iconic fiftieth carrier fight.

“I know I wasn’t myself in France, and here I was!  This was for  my city! This is my hometown and we all know I like to fight well here, because all of you spend your hard earned money to support me for 50 fights and I have to perform here,” said Mrdjenovich who improved to 38-10-2. Her brilliant career gathers momentum.
