Orozco crushes Gibson, still unbeaten

Undefeated WBO #4, WBA#8 IBF#11, WBC#10 (at welterweight) super-lightweight Antonio Orozco (26-0, 17 KOs) scored a fourth round TKO over previously unbeaten KeAndre Gibson (16-1-1, 7 KOs) on Saturday night at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Las Vegas, Nevada. Orozco pressed the action throughout the fight. In round four, Orozco dropped Gibson with a right hand to the jaw, and the referee deemed Gibson unable to continue. Time was 1:31.

Former world title challenger Mercito “No Mercy” Gesta (30-1-2, 16 KOs) scored a ten round unanimous decision over Gilberto Gonzalez (27-4, 22 KOs). Gesta outboxed Gonzalez over the course of ten rounds. In round three Gesta was knocked down by Gonzalez. Scores were 99-91, 98-92, 96-93.

Undefeated bantamweight Cesar Diaz (4-0, 4 KOs) scored a six round unanimous decision over Felipe Rivas (17-18-4, 11 KOs). Scores were 60-54, 60-54, 60-54.

Undefeated Golden Boy featherweight prospects Joet Gonzalez (16-0, 8 KOs) and Emilio Sanchez (14-0, 9 KOs) logged TKO wins. Gonzalez stopped Derrick Murray (13-2-1, 5 KOs) in round five and Sanchez halted Jose Bustos (11-8-3, 7 KOs) in round eight.
