There’s a possibility that Manny Pacquiao will fight before the year ends. And, if ever, it’s not going to be in Manila, but in Dubai.
According to a Team Pacquiao insider, the senator has given the go-signal for representatives of a group based in the United Arab Emirates to proceed with the promotion involving him and a boxer of his choice.
The Inquirer source said Pacquiao advisers would be going to Dubai next week to discuss details of the fight card with the UAE organizers.
With his November rematch against Australian conqueror Jeff Horn in Brisbane shelved and a proposed local fight in December unlikely to gain ground, Pacquiao may opt to have a bout in UAE instead.
Mentioned as possible opponent for Pacquiao in Dubai is Amir Khan. —ROY LUARCA
