Former world title contender Robert “Inggo” Paradero of Malaybalay City will fight again this time in South Africa on December 3 against reigning World Boxing Federation International Super flyweight champion Gcina Makhoba of South Africa.

It will be the first time for Paradero to fight in South Africa and the second outside the country.

Paradero first fought in Thailand and got lost to Thammanoon Niyomtrong by a technical knockout in the 5th round for the WBA Super World minimumweight title fight last December 14, 2021 at Saphan Hin in Phuket, Thailand.

“I’ll be back. I will dedicate this to my father and my countrymen in Malaybalay,” said the 26-year-old Paradero.

Paradero (18-3-1, 12KOs) has already recovered from his last fight. He lost to Vince Paras of General Santos City by a unanimous decision in their 12-round title fight for the vacant WBA Asia South flyweight title last September 9 in Paranaque.

He currently sparring with Jeny Boy Boca (14-9-0, 12KOs) and Kim Lindog (8-13-1, 5KOs).

“I’m okay and the training is on time,” said Paradero, who is scheduled to leave on November 27.

Makhoba (8-1-1, 3KOs), on the other hand, made his first title defense against compatriot Thulani Gumede by a 3rd round TKO last February 27 in Durban.

He earlier won the vacant WBF International super flyweight title by a technical decision in the 5th round over Musawenkosi Ndwandwe last February 29, 2020
