Parker vs Fury to air on PPV in United States

Next weekend’s WBO heavyweight title fight has a U.S. TV home.

The September 23 fight between WBO heavyweight titleholder Joseph Parker and challenger Hughie Fury will be available in the United States on pay-per-view.

Parker (23-0, 18 KO) will be making his second defense of the belt, which he won last December against Andy Ruiz Jr, when the title was vacant. He defeated Razvan Cojanu on May 6 in New Zealand in his first defense.

It’s the first world title opportunity for Fury (20-0, 10 KO), the cousin of former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. Fury will have some home field advantage, with the fight taking place in Manchester, England.

Parker, 25, and Fury were originally slated to meet in the spring, with Cojanu replacing Fury in the fight due to injury. Fury, who turns 23 on Monday, hasn’t fought since an April 2016 win over Fred Kassi.

The fight will also air on ITV Box Office in the United Kingdom, Sky Arena PPV in New Zealand, and Main Event PPV in Australia.
