DUBAI, United Araba Emirates — Since his arrival in Dubai’s boxing scene two years ago, Phucan An Nguyen has positively revolutionized the sport of professional boxing in famed The City of Gold.

Thirteen successful shows in less than two years may not be a world record, but it is evidence of the drive and vitality of Phucan An Nguyen and his promotion company “People’s Fighters.”

While other boxing companies in the United Arab Emirates have appeared and disappeared, People’s fighters remains steady and thriving.

So far in 2023, Phucan has already orchestrated three exciting boxing events in Dubai, each card including an average of a dozen bouts, many of them title fights, all of them well balanced and exciting battles.

To achieve this success, Phucan has not only allied with excellent matchmakers and marketing experts, but has brought to Dubai boxers and coaches from perhaps the most popular boxing country in Latin America: Cuba.

Charming and friendly man, Phucan has attracted to his promotion company new fighters from the famous Caribbean Island such as super welterweight Yan Marcos, super featherweight Jaidier Herrera, featherweight Dayan Gonzalez, lightweight “Inno Lee” Abdul Azizi Ssebulime, and Liverpool featherweight prospect Jack Turner among others.

Nevertheless, Phucan not only does his own promotions. He also works as a matchmaker for other international promotional companies, helping to organize big-name fights, coming up with thrilling matchups.

For instance, Phucan is contributing in make possible that Tyson Fury, the popular “Gypsy King” fights former UFC star Francis Ngannou.

That’s is not easy work. Indeed complicated. But Phucan is confident that the exhibition clash, one of the most talked-about for 2023 go ahead, as planned.

The sky is the limit for Phucan and his promotion company and he does not want to slow down.
