Orthodox Panya Pradabsri of Thailand beat compatriot Chayaphon Moonsri by a unanimous decision to grab the World Boxing Council world minimumweight title last Nov. 27 at the City Hall Ground in Nakhon Sawan, Thailand.
It was the first time that Moonsri was beaten after 13 title fights. Moonsri has suffered his first defeat after 54 wins and 18 knockouts.
Pradabsri, nicknamed “Petchmanee CP Freshmart” now has 35 wins with two knockouts against one loss.
Judges Pongpan Rattanasutorn, Noppharat Sricharoen and Montol Suriyachand all scored 115-113 in favor of Pradabsri.
It was promoted by Piyarat Vachirarattanawong of Petpiya Fight with Panya Prachakorn as the matchmaker.
Pradabsri earlier retired Wichet Sengprakhon in the 4th round last Sept. 25 to win the vacant WBC Asian
Boxing Council minimumweight title at Rangsit International Stadium in Rangsit, Thailand.
