PUI YU LIM CAPTURES WBC ASIAN BOXING COUNCIL MIDDLWEIGHT TITLE IN BANGKOK

CHINA’S Pui Yu Lim landed a solid punch to knockout Indonesian Ramadhan “Ransom” Weriuw in the first round to capture the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council Middleweight title last Saturday at the Ram 100 Thai Boxing Stadium in Ramkamhaeng, Bangkok, Thailand.
The 32-year old Lim, a former WBC Asian Boxing Council Continental light heavyweight champion posted his sixth straight win all by knockouts.
The 38-year old Weriuw, a former Indonesian welterweight title-holder suffered his 10th loss against 17 wins with 15 knockouts and one draw.
The fight was promoted by Brico Santig of the Highland-Chanram International Boxing Promotion and supervised by Patrick Cusick.
The boxing card also featured three championships for the Professional Association of Thailand (PAT) under the supervision of Damrong Simakajornboon.
Yuya Nakamura (5W-1L-0D) of Japan scored a 6th round technical knockout against Thailand’s Detnarong Omkrathok (17W-9L-0D) to win the vacant PAT bantamweight title.
Youngdoo Choi (2W-0L knocked out Vachayan Khamon (10W-19L-1D) in Round 1 to capture the vacant PAT lightweight title.
Norihito Imamori (1W-0L) stopped Odisorn Kesonrsombat (0W-4L) by a TKO in the 3rd round to cop the vacant PAT super middleweight crown.
PTA president Naris Singwancha awarded the belts to the winners.

Super flyweight Phannaluk Kongsang (2W-3L-1D, 2 KOs) retired Tassana Paladsrichuoy in the 3rd round
Flyweight Ryo Hashiya of Japan won his pro debut via a first round knockout against 16-year old Danai Wasan of Thailand
Welterweight Zhen Li of China also won his debut by retiring Apilak Yoohanngoh of Thailand in Round 2.
