The World Boxing Super Series first round bout between interim WBC titleholder Regis Prograis and former lightweight titleholder Terry Flanagan looks like it’s going to go down on October 27 in New Orleans, live on the DAZN streaming service in the United States.

Prograis (22-0, 19 KO) is widely considered the top man at 140 pounds right now, and has the top seed in the tournament. He’s 2-0 this year, knocking out Julius Indongo in the second round on March 9, then returning on July 14 for a rather easy win over Juan Jose Velasco. That fight was at Lakefront Arena, where this one is likely to be held.

Previous plans seemed to be for Prograis to face full WBC titleholder Jose Ramirez late this year, but those plans fell through when the 29-year-old decided to enter the WBSS.

So instead, he faces Flanagan (33-1, 13 KO), who moved up to 140 in June and lost a decision at home in the United Kingdom to Maurice Hooker. Flanagan, also 29, held the WBO lightweight title from 2015 until vacating it, making five successful defenses.
