Romero Claims South American Title Tonight in Cordoba, Argentina

Unbeaten Argentinian Super Featherweight Jose Matias Romero (24-0, 8 KO’s) scored a 12-round unanimous decision win over his coming-forward compatriot Javier Jose Clavero (27-8, 5 KO’s) to capture the interim South American 130-pound belt tonight at the Club de Ajedrez in Cordoba, Argentina.

There were no knockdowns nor cuts during the rather boring event; but Romero’s more effective fighting style made him the rightful winner in the show aired live in Latin America on TyC Sports.

The promoter for the show was Sampson Lewkowicz in association with Tello Box.
