A right “Royal Rumble” about to “Reign” down, as “The Nordic Queen” Mikaela Lauren takes on “The Swedish Princess” Klara Svensson Saturday night in Stockholm, for the female WBC interim World Welterweight Crown.
Super welterweight Champion Lauren moved down in weight, while former interim super lightweight titlist Svensson moved up, for a historic regal battle, which electrifies Sweden.
Both women had no problems adjusting to the new division, bringing almost the same weight to the scale. Lauren weighed in at 65.8 kg (145 lbs.) while Svensson was only slightly lighter at 65.6 kg (144.6 lbs.).
It’s the first time in boxing history that two Swedish fighters meet to contest a World Championship. Promoter Sauerland, Event labeled the fight as “The Winner Takes It All.”
Indeed the winner of this cliffhanger, will be on a direct collision course with the winner of the Unified Welterweight Championship between “First Lady” Cecilia Braekhus and Anne-Sophie Mathis on October 1st in Oslo, Norway.
