DAVAO CITY – Dr. Toto Sajulga, manager of minimumweight Robert “Inggo” Paradero is still undecided if whether to push through or not with the fight in South Africa against Thembelani “Guitarman” Okolo on June 27.
“Yes, Paradero is fighting for the vacant WBF World minimumweight title fight,” said Sajulga.
“Pero pinag isipan pa namin kasi sa South Africa ang dula. Lately dalawa ka boxers wala bayari sa premyo (But we still thought about the play because the play is in South Africa. Lately two boxers have not paid for the prize)”, said Sajulga.
Paradero (18W-1L-0D, 12KOs) has been training again very hard.
“We’ll change our game strategy, not amateuristic style but we’ll go for KO (We’ll change our game strategy, not amateuristic style but we’ll go for KO)”, said Sajulga.
The 24-year-old Paradero is slowly coming back and has come up with six rounds already in the sparring session.
“Pildi siya pero maraming humanga at offer sa kanya (He was defeated but many admired and offered him)”, said Sajulga.
He added: ”We’ll change our game strategy not amateriuristic style but we’ll go for KO)”.
“Talagang pang knock out ang laro niya. At ibang klase si Inggo siya ay entertainer at crowd drawer at matapang. Bihira lang ang boxer na ganito (He really knocked out the game. And Inggo is different, he is an entertainer and crowd drawer and brave. It’s rare for a boxer to be like this)”, said Sajulga.
“Dapat ang boxing sports ay may reforma sa officiating kasi kawawa yung mga deserving boxers (Boxing sports should have a reform in officiating because the deserving boxers are poor)” said Sajulga.
If plans will push through, Paradero will be accompanied by Sajulga and coach Mario Salem in South Africa.
