Former world champion Orlando “Siri” Salido (44-13-4, 31 KOs) was victorious when Aristedas Perez (30-10-2, 16 KOs) didn’t come out for round eight in a junior lightweight fight on Saturday night in Ciudad Obregon, Mexico. Some tense moments for Salido when he was dropped in round three, but he stormed back to dominate the rest of the fight.
In a WBC female interim light flyweight world title clash, Kenia Enriquez (19-1, 9 KOs) scored a third round TKO over Maria “Mary” Salinas (15-6-3, 5 KOs). A body shot finished Salinas.
Light flyweight Gilberto “Parrita” Parra (25-3, 20 KOs) outpointed journeyman Jose Rivas (14-11-4, 7 KOs) over eight rounds.
