Saunders-Lemieux, Horn-Corcoran, more: Boxing fight times and TV schedule for December 13-16

World titles are on the line in Australia and Canada, plus more.

Wednesday, December 13

ESPN, 6:30 am ET, Jeff Horn vs Gary Corcoran. We were supposed to get Horn-Pacquiao II in November, but didn’t. Instead, we have this. It’s not as good, but Horn is the WBO welterweight champion, and for however long it lasts, he’s a significant player in the division. He’s the big favorite here and should win — Corcoran is a fringe contender at best, and this is more a victory lap matchup to close the year than anything substantial, at least on paper. BLH will have live coverage.

Thursday, December 14

ESPN3, 8:50 pm ET, Diego De La Hoya vs Jose Salgado. The main fights start at 10:30 pm ET on ESPN Deportes, but you can watch more of the card starting just before 9 over atWatchESPN.com. De La Hoya’s had a good year, and he looks to close it strong.

Friday, December 15

FS1, 10:00 pm ET, Jessie Vargas vs Aaron Herrera, Diego Chaves vs Jamal James, John Molina Jr vs Ivan Redkach. Nothing really can’t-miss here, but some decent matchups to get a bunch of people active. Vargas is fighting for the first time since his November 2016 loss to Manny Pacquiao, now with the PBC team instead of Top Rank. BLH will have live coverage.

Saturday, December 16

HBO, 9:40 pm ET, Billy Joe Saunders vs David Lemieux, Antoine Douglas vs Gary O’Sullivan, Cletus Seldin vs Yves Ulysse Jr. It’s not the biggest HBO card, but I really like this main event, and the undercard bouts are meant to showcase Douglas and Seldin. Saunders going on the road to defend his WBO middleweight belt against a brutal puncher like Lemieux is risky and interesting. BLH will have live coverage.
