SDSG LEADER WANTS GAB CHAIRMAN MITRA TO RUN FOR SENATE

SOLID Duterte Supporters Group (SDSG) D’ Original Nationwide president Mario “Mar” Masanguid of Davao City wants current Games and Amusements Board (GAB) Chairman Abraham Kahlil “Baham” Mitra to run for the Senate in the next election in 2019.
“Chairman Baham Mitra is a very hardworking and good leader. We need good hardworking leaders like him,” said Masanguid, who is also now one of the GAB Commissioners.
Mitra, who is the youngest son of the late former House of Representatives Speaker Ramon Mitra Jr. and Cecilia Aldeguer Blanco, is a former provincial governor and congressman for three terms in Palawan.
Masanguid, a former Barangay Captain in Agdao, Davao City was the leader of the Rody Duterte for President Movement (now called as SDSG) during the 2016 elections.
Masanguid spearheaded the group that persuaded then-Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte to run for president of the country.
Masanguid’s group, composed mostly of barangay captains went around the country to successfully campaign for Duterte.
And now, Masanguid is doing it the same for Mitra.
Masanguid has started campaigning for Mitra already during the rallies and dialogues being held for the “Tapang at Malasakit” movement or SDSG groups in different key cities.
Similar events will be held at the Capitol in Cagayan de Oro City (Nov. 30), Crocodile Park in Davao City (Nov. 30), Isulan, Sultan Kudarat (Dec. 2) and in Pasay, Baguio, Dasmarinas and Nueva Ecija.
Mitra has done a lot of improvements already in the GAB, a government agency under the Office of the President who is tasked to regulate and supervised professional sports and games and to prevent illegal booking and gambling activities connected to any professional sports like boxing.
One of the good thing Mitra has made already in the professional boxing is the free medical check-up, CT Scan and laboratory for professional boxers at the government medical hospitals.
Mitra is now also the president of the Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) and supervisor of the
World Boxing Council (WBC).
Baham served as a Presidential Consultant for Palawan from 1998 until 2000 under former President Joseph Estrada. He became a member of the House of Representatives representing the Second Legislative district of Palawan for three consecutive terms until 2010.
Programs and projects for the welfare of his representation were massively implemented as he lobbied for the national government to appropriate sufficient funds thereof.
High priorities were made for health, education, environmental protection and for the prime mover of the province’s growth-tourism.
Mitra’s leadership had innovative ways of leading his province which gained popularity for its promotion of sustainable development through economic and tourism synergy working hand in hand to achieve holistic progress.
Mitra was born on Jan. 3, 1970 in Manila He finished his elementary at the Benedictine Abbey School in Alabang, Muntinglupa City in 1983. He continued his secondary schooling at the same school until 1987. He then studied BS Management at another Benedictine-run school San Beda College and graduated in 1991.
