SEMILLANO, VALLESPIN, DELA PAZ ARE PH CHAMPIONS

ERANIO Semillano, Allan Vallespin and Gretel dela Paz scored contrasting wins to capture their respective Philippine titles last Saturday night at The Flash Grand Ballroom of the Elorde Sports Complex in Paranaque City.
Semillano won by a majority decision against Macrea Gandionco to capture the vacant Philippine super flyweight title.
Vallespin, on the other hand, scored a unanimous decision over Cristian Abila to retain his Philippine super featherweight crown.
Judges Carlo Baluyut and Jerrold Tomeldan both saw it 116-112 while judge
Robert Bridges had it 118-110.
Meanwhile, Gretel dela Paz landed more telling blows to beat Christine Latube by a unanimous decision to crown herself as the new Philippine female bantamweight champion.
Judges Salvador Lopez and Robert Bridges both scored it 60-54 while judge Virgilio Garcia saw it 58-56.
