STABLEMATES Allan “The Leopard” Tanada and KJ “Matumbo” Natuplag of Highland Boxing Gym from La Trinidad, Benguet are both eyeing for knockout wins against their separate rivals in the the “Rumble in Malabon” boxing show on May 20 at 5 p.m. at the Dampa sa Paseo in Malabon City.
Tanada former Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) super featherweight champion is facing Jerope “Nino de Oro” Mercado of Mercado Boxing Stable from Cavite in the main event.
Natuplag, who is currently the Luzon Professional Boxing Association (Luzproba) bantamweight title holder takes on Nestor Junio of Guno Boxing Stable from Batangas City in the main supporting bout.
“I want to prove that I can still be a champion again. That’s why I need a knockout win,” said Tanada (14 wins, 6 knockouts, 6 losses, 3 draws).
Natuplag (4 wins, 3 KOs) said: “I want to keep my record clean and I’ll make it sure with a knockout win.”
