Former World Boxing Organisation Asia Pacific Minimum champion Masataka Taniguchi of Tokyo will fight Hizuki Saso of Atsugi for the vacant Japanese minimum title on Dec. 3 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
The 26-year old Taniguchi (12W-3L-OD, 7KO) recently beat Kai Ishizawa of Sagamihara, Kanagawa by a unanimous decision last Sept. 21, 2019 at the Korakuen Hall.
Taniguchi, however, lost by a unanimous decision to Victorio Saludar of Polomolok last Feb. 26 in Korakuen.
Saso (12W-6L-2D, 4KO), on the other hand, settled a split draw with Yuni Takada of Higashiyamato last Aug. 9, 2020 in Arena Tachikawa Tachihi in Tachikawa.
Meanwhile, flyweight Sho Nagasato of Tokyo will fight Soma Ikeda of Atsugi, Kanagawa in a 4-rounder.
It is presented by Hitoshi Watanabe of the Watanabe Promotions.
