Tonghui stops Dacong in 3rd round

Orthodox Tonghui Li of Hefei stopped Dacong Wang of Kunming in the 3rd round to win the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council Continental super welterweight title last Dec. 26 at TSSG Center in Qingdao.

The 30-year-old Tonghui registered his 13th win with the 7th knockout against two defeats while Dacong suffered his second loss against seven wins and one draw.

Meanwhile, lightweight Ju Wu scored a unanimous decision victory over Xiao Tao Su to win the International Boxing Organization International lightweight title in the main supporting event.

The promoters are Li Sheng of SECA Ltd. and Bob Arum of Top Rank while the matchmaker is Lin Fei.
