Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee are still scheduled to main event UFC 216.
Their interim lightweight title fight was originally booked as the headlining match on the upcoming pay-per-view scheduled for Oct. 7 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev., and that hasn’t changed after the UFC officially updated the bout order with the Demetrious Johnson–Ray Borg flyweight title fight Monday.
Johnson and Borg were supposed to fight at UFC 215, but the bout was canceled when an illness forced Borg to withdraw less than 48 hours before the event. They were quickly re-booked for UFC 216, but the promotion is sticking with Ferguson and Lee to close the show.
In the co-main event, Johnson will attempt to defend his championship for the 11th straight time, which will break a tie with Anderson Silva for the most consecutive successful title defenses in UFC history.
