Ulises Solis to face Petalcorin in comeback fight

Two time former IBF light flyweight Champion Ulises Solis was in Melbourne Australia today who has fought in 14 World Title bouts.

Solis met up with promoter Peter Maniatis in Melbourne and the topic was a comeback fight for Solis. The fight is planned for mid next year against former WBA champion Randy Petalcorin and Solis said that his brother Jorge Solis, who fought Manny Pacquiao in Texas, would train him if he decides to makes comeback fight.

Former World champion Solis said “Petacorin is a good fighter and a former WBA World Champion. I am a two time IBF World champion. I believe this fight would generate a lot of interest. I am only 35 years old and have not fought for a few years but I am always in the gym training and also training other boxers. I take boxing seriously.

“The offer would have to be good to get me out of retirement”

Peter Maniatis said “Solis is a good name for Petalcorin he has fought in 14 world title fights but has not fought for 3 years and at 35 years of age its up to him to get into shape to fight Petalcorin. I think this fight would be a statement fight for Petalcorin”
