WBC PRESENT AT THE TOURNAMENT MERCOSUR OF PUNTA DEL ESTE, URUGUAY

President of the World Boxing Council, Mauricio Sulaiman, attended the stage of the Mercosur Tournament of the Amateur Championship  at the Convention Center of Punta del Este, Uruguay.

Nine exciting amateur fights took place, in addition to two professionals matches  in which Caril Herrera from Uruguay and Julio Escudero from Panama suffered an unfortunate accidental head clash, so that concluded in a “No Decisiom.”. Local prospect Andrés Viera also saw action.

This initiative is organized by the Uruguayan Amateur and Professional Boxing Commission (Cubap) and Sampson Boxing.

The top four boxers with the best performance in their respective category will travel to Mexico to train at a High Performance Center in Mexico.
