WBC WORLD TITLES AT STAKE IN JAPAN

Mexican world champions, Juan “Churritos” Hernández and Ganigan López, will have dangerous title defenses on May 20 at the Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo, Japan.

“Churritos”, who was crowned World Boxing Council flyweight  champion on March 4 after beating Thai Nawaphon Kaikanha by TKO, will return to Asia to face Japanese Daigo Higa.

With  an undefeated record of 12-0, all fights won by knockout, and less than three years as a professional, Higa is considered as a serious obstacle to Juan Hernandez.

Juan Hernandez will try to use his whole power to get the victory as he has been able to win 25 of his 34 wins by KO. He has lost twice and he has been a professional for 13 years now.

Ganigan, on the other hand, will try to defend his WBC light flyweight belt for the second time. He will clash against undefeated Japanese Ken Shiro, who has 9 victories with 5 KO´s . The native of Amecameca, State of Mexico, (28-6, 17 KOs) conquered the WBC belt on March 4, 2016 after defeating Japanese Yu Kimura in Japanese territory, he conserved the belt by defeating Filipino Jonathan Taconing on July 2 at The Arena Coliseo of Mexico City.
