This Saturday the World Boxing Council middleweight champion, Jermall Charlo will face the Mexican Juan Macías Montiel, at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
Charlo will look to extend his unbeaten record of 31 wins against Mexican Macías Montiel, who is the nephew of former champion Fernando “Kochulito” Montiel.
“We are going to have a great fight. I come to put on a good show in front of my fans in my city. There is no way I am letting Montiel take the world title from me. I know Montiel will arrive ready to fight hard, but I am ready for whatever, ”commented the champion.
Montiel, who comes from knocking out veteran James Kirkland, commented:
“I am excited and ready. This is a dream fight that I have been waiting for my whole life. We have been training for months and I am more than ready for this challenge. Whoever thinks this is an easy fight for Jermall, doesn’t know me at all.”
