It was a great performance by Yabuki, who dominated great part of the fight, till hurting and stopping the rocked Kenshiro in that rough tenth. Will something similar unfold again Saturday?

Kenshiro was undefeated and was the fans’ favourite to retain the 108-pound crown by defeating Yabuki, an unheard of opponent with three losses in 15 pro fights.

Popular former champ, Kenshiro claimed the WBC light flyweight title in May 2017, when he defeated Mexican Ganigan López.

Since then, he defend crown against Mexican Pedro Guevara, Gilberto Pedroza of Panama, again against Ganigan López, Saúl Juárez, also defeated Pinoy boxers Milan Melindo, Jonathan Taconing, Randy Petalcorin, and bested compatriot Tetsuya Hisada, until Kenshiro ran into Yabuki in what turned out to be the 9th unsuccessful defense of the WBC 108-pound crown.
