Awesome Fight! Kazuto Ioka 115 lbs vs Kosei Tanaka 115 lbs for WBO súper flyweight world title Tomorrow Dec 31 in Tokyo, Japan

Kosei Tanaka looks to accomplish this 4th world championship in a 4th weight-class within just sixteen professional fights. 

This has never been done so quickly, with the closest being  Oscar De La Hoya – who captured belts in 4 divisions in his 24th pro bout.

Much is made of modern names like Claressa Shields and  Vasily Lomachenko capturing belts in multiple divisions in short order, understandably so, but this would be an unprecedented feat should  Kosei Tanaka get the result he wants tomorrow. 

Kazuto Ioka, 31, has the experience disadvantage for this bout.  But Tanaka seems to have the momentum edge as he enters this bout with an unblemished pro record.

It is remarkable to consider that 10 of Tanaka’s 16 career fights have been in title bouts. Simply Amazing 

The mandatory challenger Tanaka enters this battle from back-to-back stoppage wins after logging-in the 3rd defense of his WBO 112-pound title before deciding to jump up to 115.
