One of the most talked about prospects in European MMA, KSW welterweight champion Roberto Soldic, is set to defend his crown when he faces Bellator veteran Marius Zaromskis at “KSW 53: Fight Code” in Lodz, Poland on March 21.

KSW confirmed the fight to MMA Fighting on Thursday.

Soldic ( 17-3-0) goes into the contest with four consecutive wins in bouts over rival and former champion Dricus Du Plessis, Vinicius Bohrer, Krystian Kaszubowski and, most recently, Michal Pietrzak. The Croatian knockout artist has only been defeated once in the KSW cage, suffering a second round stoppage at the hands of South African Du Plessis in their title meeting, a loss he avenged six months later when he stopped “Still Knocks” in the third round of their London rematch.

Lithuanian legend Zaromskis (22-9-0, 1 NC) has a storied career which began two decades ago in 2000. A mainstay for several years in the Bellator welterweight ranks, Zaromskis has also previously held the DREAM welterweight title. In January 2010, he suffered a first round loss to cult icon Nick Diaz when they clashed for the Strikeforce title.

Zaromskis returned to action in 2019 after a four-year hiatus from MMA. He scored a win over a vastly outmatched opponent in Aliaksandr Danilchenko Bushido FC: Bushido Vilnius in his native Lithuania.
