SHELDON DETERMINED NOT TO BE SHORN OF FECARBOX CROWN

Sheldon Lawrence, from Trinidad y Tobago,  will defend his WBC FECARBOX light heavyweight title against Guyana native Shawn Corbin, on January 20 in Georgetown, Guyana.

Lawrence faces his toughest opponent in Corbin, a veteran former CABOFE champion, who has fought  most of his career in Trinidad and Tobago.

Corbin (17-5) three years ago fought Wales’ Nathan Cleverly, former WBA cruiserweight world champion, and was defeated. But he does have a victory over former champion Wayne “Big Truck” Brathwaite originally from Guyana .
