Triumphant WBC superlight champion, Jose Carlos Ramirez, was on the line with WBC Martes a Café, after his knockout of Maurice Hooker on July 27 in Texas.
“Since winning the title against Amir Imam, I made a promise that I would defend this belt with honor and passion, always facing the best and demonstrating why I am the WBC world champion.
Hooker came for that title and I did what I had to do, to defend it and give a great performance because the fans deserve exciting fights. For me it`s an honor to put the WBC on high.”
Ramirez was crystal clear in stressing that he wants to reign over the division and that he`s cherishing the very best moment of his career.
Ramirez made the third defense of his crown and improved his undefeated record of 25 fights won, 17 of them by KO.
