Wahlstrom will have a new rival to defend his WBC crown

The super featherweight champion of the World Boxing Council, Eva Wahlstrom, will have a new rival, Ronica “Queen” Jeffrey, replacing the Mexican Yareli “Chololita” Larios.

The match promoted by Roy Jones Jr. (RJJ) Boxing Promotions will be on August 2 at the famous Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

The main card will be broadcast live and exclusively, starting at 10 pm ET / 7 pm PT, at UFC FIGHT PASS.

Former European champion Wahlstrom (22-1-1, 3 KOs), fighting outside of Finland, captured her WBC world title in 2015, winning a 10-round decision over Natalia Vanesa del Valle Aguirre, followed by four successful defenses over Dahiana Santana (35-7), Anahi Esther Sanchez (14-0), Mayra Alejandra Gomez (18-5) and Melissa St. Vil (10-2-4).
