GAB Champion Roldan Aldea Scores Crushing KO Win in Russia

In thrilling fashion, Filipino GAB Lightweight Champion Roldan “Dan” Aldea (14-7-1, 8 KO’s) of the Elorde Gym scored the most important of win of his boxing career by punishing and stopping cold in eight rounds unbeaten world-ranked WBC # 28 Mikhail Alexeev (12-1, 4 KO’s) Saturday night, July 13, in Ekaterinburg, Russia.

The taller 25-year-old Aldea from Negros Occidental made terrific use of his speed, reach and superior fighting skills to land repeatedly with right hooks and left straights on the tough Russian, who was forced to absorb a relentless rain of blows prescribed by the Pinoy throughout the non-title combat, finally succumbing seconds before the end of the rumble.

The rough end unfolded when a full-power left uppercut sent by Roldan Aldea caught the incoming Alexeev full force on his jaw completely rocking the Russian to the core, making him lose signal landing hard face first on the blue canvas of Ekaterinburg, a dramatic shocking moment that completely silenced the crowd.

The performance was a fantastic triumph for lion heart Roldan “Dan” Aldea, his first win overseas; and the disciplined southpaw is willing to take on for more challenging missions.

The boxing show in Ekaterinburg, Russia, was a production of RCC Boxing Promotions.

Roldan Aldea won an early victory over Mikhail Alekxeev⠀⠀⠀The first round was sighting and positional. Alekxeev took the center of the ring, but did not go into hard attacks, limiting himself to single punches. In this case, the Filipino boxer did not hesitate and threw a large number of punches.⠀⠀⠀By the end of the second round Mikhail Alekxeev gained confidence and started working on a short distance. Nevertheless, the Filipino was ahead of his opponent in every move, and ten seconds before the gong Alexeyev was on the brink of knockdown.⠀⠀⠀After the break, Aldea rushed to finish Alekxeev off, but he suffered more than a minute's onslaught. By the fourth round, Alekxeev had "come to life", started to work more dangerously and went ahead. Aldea tried to keep the Russian boxer jabs, but he left all his forces in the first half of the fight, and Alexeyev repeatedly clamped down his opponent at the ropes.-Ролдан Алдеа одержал досрочную победу над Михаилом Алексеевым⠀⠀⠀Первый раунд получился пристрелочным и позиционным. Алексеев забрал центр ринга, но в жесткие атаки заходить не стал, ограничиваясь одиночными ударами. При этом филиппинский боксер не стеснялся и выбрасывал большое количество ударов.⠀⠀⠀К концу второго раунда Михаил Алексеев набрался уверенности и начал работать на короткой дистанции. Тем не менее филиппинец опережал соперника в каждом движении, и за десять секунд до гонга Алексеев оказался на грани нокдауна.⠀⠀⠀После перерыва Алдеа бросился добивать Алексеева, но он перетерпел более чем минутный натиск. К четвертому раунду Алексеев «ожил», начал работать более опасно и пошел вперед. Алдеа старался держать российского боксера джебами, но все силы он оставил в первой половине боя, и Алексеев раз за разом зажимал соперника у канатов.⠀⠀⠀Последние три раунда выдались очень нервными. Несмотря на усталость, боксеры постоянно вступали в размен.
