Check out who won the performance bonus checks at UFC Fight Night 89.
UFC Fight Night 89 featured a bunch of finishes (mostly in the third round for some reason) and a lot of great action. It wouldn’t have been easy to pick two of the bonuses. But two of them were probably pretty simple – the fight of the night, between Sean O’Connell and Steve Bosse.
The two men engaged in a light heavyweight brawl for the ages, beating the tar out of each other for the full fifteen minutes. O’Connell dropped Bosse early, but he recovered and managed to win the fight by decision. It was a candidate for fight of the year, and they rightfully deserved the checks they got.
One of the performance bonuses went to Donald Cerrone, who picked apart Patrick Cote in the the co-main event of the night. He scored three knockdowns on his way to third-round TKO victory over the former middleweight title challenger.
The other went to Krzysztof Jotko, for his brutal 59-second KO of Tamdan McCrory.
