I’m sure you’ve heard that the Super Bowl is today. For the umpteenth time, the New England Patriots are representing the AFC, as they look to win a record-tying sixth Super Bowl. They’ve Their opponents are the NFC champion Los Angeles Rams, who’ve not won a championship since the 1999 season, when they played in St. Louis. This is only their third season back in Los Angeles and they have fulfilled preseason expectations of making the big game, no matter how controversial it may have been.
For historical context, the Patriots’ dynasty began when they shocked the heavily favored Rams in Super Bowl 36 way back in 2002. Patriots QB Tom Brady’s first Lombardi Trophy was so long ago that Murilo Bustamante was UFC middleweight champion.
Anyway, the stars are out in full force for Super Bowl 53 at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. Among the A-list celebrities is former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion, there with his son Conor Jr. And both are wearing matching lavender suits.
