FORMER World Boxing Organization (WBO) Asia Pacific Youth super lightweight champion Eusebio “Raging Bull” Baluarte of Quezon, Bukidnon will next face “Ruthless” Romero Duno of  Sanman Gym on June 26 in the Brawl at the Mall: The Next Generation at the Gaisano Mall Atrium in General Santos City.

Baluarte is also a former Philippine super lightweight and interim Philippine Boxing Federation welterweight title-holder. Baluarte (19 wins, 15 loses, 0 draw, 12 Kos), however previously bowed to Duno’s stablemate Adam Diu Abdulhamid by a 6th round knockout on March 8 in T’boli, South Cotabato.

Duno, who has 9 wins, 8 KOs and 1 loss recently suffered his only defeat in his last fight by a unanimous decision against an undefeated Russian Mikhail Alexeev in their championship fight for the WBO Intercontinental super featherweight crown last May 7 at the DIVS in Ekaterinburg, Russia.

Duno suffered a nasty cut on his left eye due to a headbutt in the third round and a low blow a couple times against the Russian.

“I want to win again,” said Duno, who captured the Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) super featherweight crown by stopping Jason Egera in the 8th round last February 13 at the Gaisano Mall Gensan.

Sanman Promotions Jim Claude Mananguil said Duno should not take Baluarte lightly.

“Baluarte is a veteran fighter and has more ring experience,” said Manangquil.

Also featured in the fourth edition of the Brawl at the Mall by the Sanman Promotions are newly-crowned World Boxing Federation (WBF) International bantamweight champion “Magic” Mike Plania and undefeated Reymart “Gensan Assasin” Gaballo.

Plania, who is also undefeated with 10 straight wins and four knockouts will face Romulo “Demon” Ramayan Jr. of Valencia City for 10 rounds in the main event.

Gaballo, who has 13 straight wins, 11 by knockouts with no loss or draw takes on bantamweight Jilo Merlin of San Francisco, Agusan in an 8-rounder. – LITO DELOS REYES
